Location: South Woodham Ferrers, Essex (Cutlers Road)

Salary: Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm (plus optional overtime)

The Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Factory Fittings Operative to join our manufacturing team. You’ll play a key role in the final stages of production, fitting ironmongery and ensuring each product meets our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fitting ironmongery such as handles, locks, and hinges to timber windows and doors
• Installing gaskets and weather seals
• Fitting casements and sliding sashes to frames
• Inspecting glass prior to glazing and arranging replacements if needed
• Wrapping and preparing finished products for delivery
• Assisting with loading/unloading lorries
• Supporting other departments as required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in the window and door industry (Timber, PVC, or Aluminium)
• Skilled in using hand tools and fitting ironmongery
• A good work ethic and strong attention to detail
• Reliable, responsible, and physically fit (comfortable with heavy lifting)
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude
• Good spoken and written English
