Why your front door sets the tone for your entire home
Whether you’re coming back from a hard day’s work, or a fun-filled getaway, nothing beats the feeling of getting home and stepping through your front door as it envelopes you in that amazing comfort of home.
Having an entrance door that reflects your home is key as it gives the first impression of your property. Making sure you have chosen a style and accents to complement your exterior is vital to complete the look and ensure you’re impressed with your entrance every time you see it.

Westbury designers will work with you to ensure the best door for your home is fitted. We offer a wide variety of door styles and designs:
- Panel doors, which come with either 4 or 6 panels.
- Half glazed doors, which come with a vision panel, most often fitted to the top half of the door, which can either be clear or frosted.
- Vertical boarded doors, which come either single or double boarded, or with a vision panel.
- Horizontal boarded doors
We consider your properties architecture and interior design to make sure your door seamlessly flows into your home, without faulting on functionality.

Materials that make a statement: Wood, Steel, and Composite options
Each material we use is packed with benefits. We use an engineered timber called Accoya®; Accoya® timber doors are water resistant, rot-proof and does not swell, twist or warp. This material is sustainably sourced and is environmentally friendly.
Other options include, composite doors, which are made from a mixture of materials, including timber, PVC, and fibreglass, these doors are often specified on medium value, new build estates.
Steel doors are not usually specified for residential properties as these are more relevant for industrial use due to having a lower thermal performance than timber or composite.

Colour, finish, and hardware: The details that elevate your entrance:
Choosing details like the colour, finish or hardware for your door may seem like a small decision, but it can truly ‘make-or-break’ the look of your door. All these small details will come together and elevate the look of your entryway.
When choosing your Westbury door, you can customise it unique to your style. With cutting edge colour matching technology, your door can be virtually any colour, including the Westbury colours that we offer.
Combining this with your choice of hardware can bring your entryway together. All of the ironmongery used on our doors is British-made solid brass and can be completed with any finish you want from Polished Chrome to Antique Brass.
Any composite or metal doors will most probably have a reduced range of colours and would mainly offer RAL colour codes rather than the more designer colour companies such as Farrow & Ball or Little Greene.

Security meets style: Features that don’t compromise on safety
Making sure that your door not only looks good but keeps your home secure is important.
Ensuring you have quality security features in place such as laminated glass is key in making sure that you home stays safe year-round. That is why all Westbury doors are security tested and are Part Q compliant, so you can have confidence that your home is protected.

An entryway acts as an introduction to your home, setting the tone for anyone who steps inside. From choosing the right materials and finishes to considering glazing, colour and architectural harmony, every detail plays a role in creating a welcoming and lasting statement.
